Christian Discipleship at New Room GMC
Discipleship at New Room Global Methodist Church is about becoming more like Jesus and living out His mission in everyday life. Our discipleship path helps people in Carbondale and Southern Illinois KNOW Jesus, GROW into His likeness, and GO into the world with His love.
Jesus Commanded Us To “Go and Make Disciples.”
At New Room, a disciple is someone who:
KNOWS Jesus
GROWS into His likeness
GOES into the world in His love
Discipleship is intentional and lifelong.
We provide clear next steps for every stage of faith.
Our Discipleship Path
1
KNOW Jesus
KNOW the truth about Jesus as the Son of God. KNOW groups walk through the basics of the faith and begin the path to church membership and baptism.
2
GROW Into His Likeness
GROW closer to Jesus and the Word of God through small group meetings and Bible studies.
GROW groups meet every Sunday after church from 11:45 to 12:15.
3
GO Into the World With His Love
GO deeper into the Word of God, experience leadership training, and commit to service by serving at New Room or Victory Dream Center, leading a small group, discipling someone, or going on a mission trip.
Build relationships and grow in faith with others.
